Night Dispatcher
Get Fresh Produce has been providing fresh produce and other products to restaurants and other end users in Chicagoland and surrounding areas since 1982. We are currently accepting applications for Transportation Night Dispatcher position to work at our Bartlett, IL facility. As the Transportation Night Dispatcher, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day direction within the transportation department at our Bartlett, IL location.
Essential Functions:
- High degree of comfort with technology
- Must be able to quickly navigate enterprise systems
- Must be able to communicate effectively via email, in person, and on the telephone
- Understand what drivers an effective safety culture and actively participate in the Company’s mission to make decisions that positively impact the safety of our drivers
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to listen for needs, check for understanding and accuracy, and build relationships with other employees
- Experience dispatching/managing 70+ local, multi-stop delivery drivers
- Efficient with computer-based dispatch programs, outlook email and excel spreadsheets
- Experience in foodservice distribution a strong plus
- Understand FMCSA and DOT laws/requirement
- Familiar with operation of unloading equipment (ie: lift gates, ramps, 2-wheel hand carts)
Qualifications:
- Must be able to demonstrate experience with a fast-paced dispatch/transportation environment
- Dispatchers ensure our routes are accurately and completely shipped via cross-checking paperwork
- Accurately dispatch drivers from the distribution facility with the equipment they need to service the customer
- Dispatcher is the primary point of contact for our drivers while they are out on their routes
- Use of dimensional thinking skills; able to multi-task and problem-solve as an integrated member of the shipping office; ability to troubleshoot problems on the fly and effectively manage tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Trouble-shoot customer service and equipment/truck-related issues
- Handling and understanding billing/shipping paperwork
- Demonstrated ability to be highly accurate and efficient at clerical tasks I a distribution environment
- Legally able to work in the US
- Candidate must pass a pre-hire drug screen
- Able to speak and write fluently in English
Work schedule:
- 5-day work week
- 6-day work week as business needs arise
- 40+ hours
- Start time of 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM until work is completed
- Mandatory holiday shifts
- This is an in-person position in Bartlett, IL

Compensation:
- Hourly pay $21.00-$23.00 hour based on experience
