Get Fresh Produce has been in business since 1982, providing fresh produce and other products to restaurants and other end users in the Chicago area. We are currently accepting applications for a Dispatch Specialist to work at our Bartlett, IL, main location. As our Dispatch Specialist, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support for the Transportation department.

 Essential Functions:

• Understand what drives an effective safety culture and actively participates in the Company’s mission to make decisions that positively impact the safety of our Drivers.
• Ensure that our routes are accurately and completely shipped via cross-checking paperwork
• Accurately dispatch Drivers from the distribution facility with the equipment they need to service the customer
• Dispatcher is the primary point of contact for our Drivers while drivers are out on routes
• Troubleshoot customer service and equipment/truck-related issues
• Handle the billing/shipping paperwork
• Maintain regular and satisfactory full-time attendance

• Experience performing the above duties or in a warehouse or shipping environment, experience in foodservice or Distribution a plus
• Experience dispatching/managing 70+ local, multi-stop delivery drivers, plus remote locations
• Proficient PC skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Produce Pro, and common E Mail systems
• Knowledge of Road Net dispatching software strongly preferred
• Understand FMCSR and DOT laws/requirements 

Compensation:

• $21.00- $23.00/hour (based on experience)

Schedule:

• Sunday to Friday, Sunday is a mandatory workday with one additional weekday off
• Start time from 8:00 pm-4:30 am or until the work is completed
• 6th-day work week is needed based on business needs
• 40-45 hours per week
• Some mandatory Holiday work included
• Bartlett, IL location, this is an in-person position 

Physical Demands:

• Stand or sit for long periods of time
• Work in cold and wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time
